What is the ratio of care associates to residents?

The Legacy at Forest Ridge is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We match our staffing ratio to the needs of our residents.

Is there an age requirement for living at The Legacy at Forest Ridge?

Yes, 62.

What does the typical move-in process look like?

We approach the move-in process with sensitivity and care for a smooth transition for both you and your loved ones.

Our process begins by gathering vital information, agreements, and permissions required for the move, including a medical assessment and physician’s care plan as necessary. Some of this paperwork is tied to state regulations, but we’ll guide you through every step of the way. We can also provide recommendations for moving companies in the Schertz area if needed.

Every situation is unique, so whether you need to move quickly or take your time, we’re here to support you throughout the entire process. At The Legacy at Forest Ridge, we’re dedicated to making your transition into our community a positive experience filled with love and compassion.

Do you provide transportation?

We’re pleased to offer scheduled transportation for our residents, providing easy access to doctor’s appointments and activity outings. Our concierge and healthcare team work together to schedule transportation to and from medical appointments, with our bus driver checking daily for timely departures and arrivals.

For designated locations and events, residents can sign up in advance, with accommodations available for those using wheelchairs or electric scooters.

Private transportation is also available upon request for a nominal charge. We strive to make transportation as convenient as possible for our residents’ peace of mind.

Are your suites furnished?

While our suites are unfurnished, we encourage each resident to personalize their living space by bringing in items that bring them joy, comfort, and creativity.

We believe that feeling at home is essential to a happy and fulfilling lifestyle, and we want our residents to feel comfortable and content in their new homes.

How is a resident’s level of care determined?

Do you allow pets?

Definitely! At The Legacy at Forest Ridge, we offer a comprehensive pet care program that includes daily walks and other amenities to keep your furry friend happy and healthy.

Please note that there is a one-time, non-refundable fee associated with bringing your pet along to our community.
